Laser tattoo removal is carried out with laser photoacoustic technology, which is responsible for pulverizing ink fragments from the skin. With years, the body metabolizes these particles and expels or eliminates them through the lymphatic system.

Although the removal of the tattoo depends on its size, color, or colors and the area of the body where it’s, the results of this procedure can be visible in approximately eight weeks.

Some colors, such as yellow and white, are almost impossible to remove, while blue and black are easier to remove in this procedure.

Likewise, consider that the older a tattoo is, the easier it will be to remove it. That’s because, over time, macrophages, the cells responsible for the harmful bacteria detection and destruction, attack the tattoo or the area.

It is also important to note that people with dark skin tend to have some risks when doing or performing this type of procedure since the pigmentation of the skin in the treated area can change, making the process problematic.

Although, after each session, we apply antibiotics and place a patch on the area, what we recommend after tattoo removal is to avoid sun exposure for months after treatment. You may feel temporary symptoms such as burning and itching in the area, as well as swelling, but this can be treated by applying cold objects that soften this effect or creams and products that help regenerate the skin.
